Fay Inger is a Los Angeles–based author with a background in psychology and a fascination with human behavior, emotional survival, and the stories people build around themselves to make sense of the world.

Her work blends psychological tension, political intrigue, emotional intimacy, and intelligence-driven suspense with deeply character-focused storytelling.

When she’s not writing, she’s usually reading, tending to her countless plants, overanalyzing fictional characters, or feeding her Starbucks matcha addiction while disappearing down research rabbit holes she absolutely did not intend to spend five hours in.

The Operative and the Analyst is her debut novel.
